Reflective Address Sign

Atlas Township Ordinance #88-02 requires all residential dwellings to have clearly visible house numbers which may be seen by drivers of emergency vehicles. Violation of this ordinance is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than 90 days or both. The Village of Goodrich has an ordinance; Section 8-101, Chapter 8, Article IV that requires the same identification of property.

Given the characteristics of several properties in the township/village (distance of residences from road) it is imperative to also have the entrance into the property clearly marked with numbers that are reflective and placed high enough off the ground to be seen above snow, vegetation, etc. in daylight or dark.

The Atlas Township Firefighter’s Association as a fundraiser, provides reflective address signs for $22.00 each

 (with installation available, if needed for an additional $15.00).
